Project Description

The 32 Smith Street commercial office development is located at 32 Smith Street and 93-95 Phillip Street, Parramatta.

Fender Katsalidis Architects won a design completion for the site and have designed a $230 million new commercial tower for this key river gateway location. A key feature of this development will be its translucency, through its extensive use of glass.

Pulse Acoustics were engaged by GPT to provide the DA, and Design stages of the project.

Richard Crookes have subsequently engaged Pulse Acoustics to provide the construction phase services for the project.

The major inputs provided to date include:

  • 3-D noise model of the development and surrounding area to optimise the façade glazing design with respect to controlling noise intrusion from road traffic;
  • Controlling noise emission from the mechanical services associated with the development to satisfy the requirements of the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) and Council;
  • Providing constructions and design details to meet the acoustic requirements of the project;
  • Provide advice to the contractor to optimise and value manage the project.
